I was born in 1980 and grew up in the North East of England. With an artistic granny, father and uncle, and after a childhood of constant doodling, it seemed inevitable that I would seek a career as an illustrator.
After receiving my BA Honours in Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent University in 2003, I found my big break illustrating the problem pages for Mizz magazine and star signs for Bliss magazine.
Since then, I have illustrated a vast array of unusual characters ranging from alien teachers, children with magic socks, mermaids, teen detectives and mischievous butterflies!
Not content with just creating quirky characters, I also love to work on more sophisticated fashion-led commissions. One of my career highlights so far was seeing my work featured in the Big Book of Fashion Illustration by Martin Dawber.
